Some new information has come to light regarding that accident west of Kindersley Tuesday night. It was actually a fatal accident involving a semi unit and a pick up truck about 5 kilometres west of Kindersley on Highway 7.
RCMP say their investigation at this stage indicates the eastbound semi collided head-on with the westbound pick up truck around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
The 29 year old man driving the pick up truck, from the Kindersley area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi, also from the Kindersley area, was taken to hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.
Alcohol, road and weather conditions are not considered contributing factors. No hazardous materials were spilled but Highway 7 west of Kindersley was closed for several hours. No charges have been laid at this time and the investigation is still ongoing.
