Regina Police are working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Alberta to clarify the circumstances around the death of a Regina man who passed away in an Edmonton hospital on January 14th.
On January 6th, police responded to a home in the 1600 block of Athol Street for a report of an injured man.
Once officers arrived, they found a 38 year-old man in the basement who was conscious but has extensive burn injuries.
The man was then taken to a Regina hospital before being transported to a hospital in Edmonton.
On the 14th, the RPS was notified that the 38 year-old had died.
An autopsy was ordered, although further testing has been ordered by the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
The name of the deceased won’t be released at this time. The investigation is continuing.
