What no one wants to experience has struck about 400 properties in the Sutherland area. They are under a precautionary drinking water advisory after an issue with the primary water main on 102nd Street West resulted in a water outage and lower water pressure last night (mon). The city says affected residents should boil their water until notified. Water has since been restored to all the properties although there could still be some localized water outages as crews deal with repairs to individual water main breaks. Right now, crews are flushing the water system which could carry into tomorrow. After that, water testing can take 48 to 72 hours to confirm water quality. The affected properties will receive a green Drinking Water Advisory Lifted Notice when the tests confirm its okay to drink the water again.
