The province’s chief medical health officer says Saskatchewan is still free of the coronavirus.
However, Dr. Saqib Shahab is saying anyone coming to Saskatchewan from the Chinese province of Hubei should call the HealthLine immediately upon arrival.
Shahab says 13 people have been recommended for testing. six had tests come back negative. The other seven are still pending.
Shahab has a message for people who are wearing masks. He says they are only useful if you are concerned about transmitting a disease to those around you, and that the mask is only useful if you have a cold or if you have recently been to China.
