The City of Regina was one of the latest stops for Associate Finance Minister Mona Fortier during her pre-budget cross-Canada tour.
Fortier wants to hear about what should be considered for the upcoming federal budget; specifically, what decisions people want to see to help strengthen the economy and middle class.
Fortier says one area of concern that opened her eyes during her Regina visit was domestic violence.
It made her wonder how the government can support families to help reduce that.
Other priorities people have raised include the oil and gas sector, agriculture and affordable housing.
People can submit their ideas and priorities for the federal budget online until February 21st.
