Saskatchewan’s Premier is questioning when the right to protest became the right to illegally impede the lives and livelihoods of law abiding Canadians.
Scott Moe says his government is monitoring the protests over a B.C. pipeline project that is disrupting rail traffic across the country, and that that the situation is hurting Saskatchewan’s economy and the country’s.
A report to the Premier cited in excess of 100 trains as of early Wednesday had been held back.
A number of these trains have Saskatchewan product on them, whether it’s energy resources, potash or agricultural products.
When it comes to blocking rail lines, what you are really doing, Moe says, is trying to hamstring the Canadian economy.
