Saskatoon Police had to shoot and kill two aggressive dogs after a man was attacked just before midnight Friday night.
A 40 year-old man is being treated in hospital for injuries that are described as life-threatening following the attack at home in the 400 block of Avenue E South.
Members of the Air Support Unit were able to see the attack take place from the air.
Once ground crews responded, they found the man suffering from injuries while still being attacked by the two, large breed dogs.
Both dogs then came at the officers who were then forced to discharge their weapons.
The incident will be reviewed.
