A new chapter is beginning for the Saskatoon Farmer’s Market.
The doors open in their new, permanent location at 26-hundred Koyle Avenue Saturday morning at 8.
Since January, vendors had been set up in a smaller space next door.
This was after the Farmer’s Market moved out of the building at River Landing with its last day in that location in December.
Executive Director Erika Queering says the first thing most people will notice when walking in the door is the sunshine.
There are lots of windows and the vendors have been setting up over the past couple of days.
There are also customer seating areas designed for sociability.
Queering says there are still a few small details to work on over the next couple of weeks but they are ready to begin at 26-hundred Koyl Avenue.
The hours are as they have always been – Saturdays, 8 to 2pm and Sundays, 10 to 3.
In the summer, the Saskatoon Farmer’s Market hopes to have outdoor markets on Wednesdays and Thursdays at satellite locations – one in the downtown area each week and one elsewhere.
