Saskatchewan’s Premier says the highlight of the upcoming session of the Legislature will be the pre-election budget, which will be delivered by Finance Minister Donna Harpauer on March 18th.
Scott Moe believes the budget will be appreciated because of the money designated towards infrastructure.
There will be a record amount of infrastructure investment for schools, highways and hospitals.
Moe calls it a budget which will continue to grow on the strengths of Saskatchewan.
The official opposition says the NDP is ready and excited to get back into it.
Ryan Meili notes that in this session they will be focusing more on Saskatchewan’s suffering economy and ways to counteract it.
The NDP will continue to press on key issues like health care with not enough beds and longer wait times, and education challenges in classrooms that are too crowded and too complex.
