Saskatoon Police say a 25 year old man who was arrested early Friday morning for an armed robbery at a convenience store at 2nd Avenue and 25th Street, is also facing charges in connection to a stabbing around 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening. And he is facing a charge of Escape Lawful Custody in connection to events occurring in the wake of the convenience store robbery.
Police say the Friday evening attack took place in the 33-hundred block of 8th Street East. A call came in about a 44 year old man reported to be injured. He was found on the sidewalk in the wake of a verbal exchange with two other men, one of which allegedly stabbed him. A Canine officer spotted a suspicious male on Oliver Crescent, made an arrest, and seized a knife.
Wyatt Scott faces charges of Aggravated Assault, Carry Concealed Weapon, Obstruction and Breach of Undertaking. However, Police are still investigating whether the same suspect is connected to a third incident, a street attack on a 45 year old man, minutes before the armed robbery at the convenience store early Friday morning.
