The official opposition wants the Premier to commit to a date for the provincial election whether it’s the set date of October 26th or whether it’s this spring. On Wednesday at the Legislature, Premier Moe said “very, very soon” when asked about an election date, but on Thursday all he added was that he guaranteed an election in 2020 and commented that it’s the Premier’s prerogative to call an election sooner.
NDP Deputy Leader Nicole Sarauer believes the Premier is creating a lot of confusion, concern and speculation among people in Saskatchewan about when the election will actually happen.
