Minister of Central Services Ken Cheveldayoff says a full infrastructure audit of the Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford will not be released becuase it is still ongoing.
The hospital, which the Saskatchewan NDP states, had a roof that was “a serious bone of contention during design and construction” was also discussed during Wednesday’s (March 4th) question period at the Legislature. The roof has to be replaced on the brand new hospital which cost 400 million dollars. Health Critic, Vicki Mowat, says the opposition had called for an audit on the infrastructure of the hospital 10 months ago and the public still doesn’t have a clear picture of the issue yet.
Cheveldayoff called it a hospital that will serve the needs of Saskatchewan residents for many decades into the future, saying the government is concerned about the short term issues but look forward to the audit’s findings.
