Two more people are facing charges from the RCMP investigation into the disappearance and death of 20 year old Allan Garrioch of Humboldt. That makes 5 arrests.
On Wednesday evening, the Saskatchewan RCMP Crime Reduction Team pursued a Jeep after it failed to stop. Police believe the vehicle and the 2 people inside were directly involved in the kidnapping and homicide that occurred on February 25th. The pursuit began on a a gravel road south of Davis and ended in the town of Weldon, about 55 kilometres away.
The Jeep got stuck in a ditch and police say the driver took off on foot. A 42 year old Prince Albert man was found in a bush and a 40 year old woman, also from Prince Albert, was in the Jeep.
Steven Veilleux is facing charges that include first degree murder, kidnapping while using a firearm and assault with a weapon, as are his son Brettin Veilleux-Pelletier who was arrested on Tuesday and Tristan Morrison who was arrested last Saturday.
The charges for Brettin Veilleux-Pelletier’s step-mother, 42 year old Jodie Lynn Veilleux, who arrested on Wednesday and Joshua Canevaro, arrested last Saturday, include kidnapping while using a firearm, forcible confinement and assault with a weapon. RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
