The NDP say Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford is currently on a boil-water advisory and sewage has flooded the basement.
That’s according to an internal memo obtained by the official opposition.
Leader Ryan Meili contends the problems are because of using the P3 model to finance the construction.
“The walls, roof, and plumbing have all needed to be redone and there is extensive flooding leading to mould damage”.
Meili says the year-old facility is still not operating at full capacity and the company managing the P3 facility recently had its credit rating downgraded by Moody’s credit agency.
The report from Moody’s says in addition to roof replacement the hospital requires significant remediation work for water damage because of faulty shower assemblies that leaked behind the walls.
