Friday was all about blue sky and warmer temperatures, but the weekend will be a quick turnaround to snow and high winds for parts of Saskatchewan.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning across central Saskatchewan from west to east, including the Battlefords, Unity, Kindersley, Rosetown and Bigger to the west, then Saskatoon and surrounding area, Prince Albert and surrounding areas and further east to include Melfort, Tisdale, Nipawin, Hudson Bay and Porcupine Plain.
Snowfall of 10 to 20 centimetres is expected in the south of this warning area, including Saskatoon and 15 to 20 centimetres further north, with strong winds.
That means visibility will be affected on Saskatchewan’s roads.

The city of Saskatoon says it’s prepared.
City crews and contractors are ready to address changing road, sidewalk and pathway conditions.
The City is urging drivers to watch for their blue and amber flashing lights and leave room for road equipment to do their work.
