The provincial government is putting $650 thousand into Enhanced Career Bridging programs to help get unemployed individuals into the workforce. The money will allow up to 160 people to participate in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and Humboldt. The program is targeting employment opportunities for what the government calls under-represented job seekers or people facing barriers to employment. Specifically, the programs are looking at Indigenous people, visible minorities, women and people with disabilities.
The programs will be delivered by Saskatchewan Abilities Council, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Prince Albert Multicultural Council, and Humboldt and District Community Services.
