After a many sports organizations around the world have been cancelling or suspending seasons due to concerns with COVID-19, the Saskatchewan Rush will see their season suspended after an announcement from the National Lacrosse League Thursday morning.
In a press release the NLL stated they have determined that it is in the best interest of their fans, players, coaches and staff to temporarily suspend play until further notice, over concerns with COVID-19.
The league added that security and safety is of top priority and focus in these challenging and unprecedented times, and will continue to evaluate the situation and remain in communication with health, team, business and league officials across North America.
The NLL had seven games scheduled this weekend, including the Saskatchewan Rush who were supposed to be in Calgary.
