Officials at the Saskatoon airport say they will be temporarily suspending the ValetXE parking service in an effort to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
The airport authority says in a release that they have activated their cleaning measures to the highest level.
That includes using higher-grade cleaning products, cleaning and sanitizing the building’s highest touch points such as handrails, kiosks and armrests.
Officials say their heightened cleaning plan for the terminal quadruples their standard cleaning protocols to ensure the airport remains a safe place.
Sanitizers have also been installed at all check-in desks, gates, the info and ValetXE desks and the Saskatoon Shines booth.
The University of Saskatchewan has announced that the it will not be holding its seventh annual One Day for Students campaign tomorrow (tues) in light of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The event was planned to celebrate giving on the U of S campus by inviting those in the university community, alumni, donors and friends to make a special donation to enhance the USask experience for students.
Last year, more than $166 thousand dollars was raised for the Nasser Family Emergency Trust Fund.
The fund is to support students who experience unforeseeable or unique financial hardships and allows them to continue their studies.
