The Saskatchewan Prevention Institute has released the My Saskatchewan Pregnancy App hoping to provide evidence-based, prenatal information for soon to be mothers.
Temi Akintilebo, Perinatal and Infant Health Coordinator says the app has information on what to expect during pregnancy and on fetal development. She says from their research, mothers are wanting easy access to information on how to have a healthy pregnancy.
The app will include to do lists for each trimester, health features reviewed by an advisory committee of Saskatchewan healthcare providers, and GPS capability to link women to local services and resources in their community.
The “My Saskatchewan Pregnancy” app is available for download in the App Store and on Google Play.
