Saskatchewan’s Justice Minister and Deputy Premier says Federated Co-operatives Limited and Unifor Local 594 need to sit down and work out a deal and legislation is not the answer.
Don Morgan says there have been talks with both sides, and the government has said mediator Vince Ready could be brought in again to work through implementation of his report or any variations that need to be tweaked.
Morgan states the provincial government hasn’t had to legislate an agreement for decades, and the best resolutions come from the employees and employers themselves.
