The City of Saskatoon says the CP Pedestrian Bridge is not wide enough to practice social distancing so, it is closed until further notice. Crews will be at work over the next few days to close off the 194 playground structures throughout the city but, in the meantime, residences are asked to stop using them. The public is also advised to not touch shared public surfaces such as crosswalk buttons, handrails, and benches. We are advised to use our elbows on the crosswalk buttons. And, as always, wash your hands.
Meanwhile, the City of Prince Albert is only recommending residents in that community refrain from visiting public playground structures. City officials say the surface of play structures are high touch areas with the potential to be full of germs. This includes play structures with the Saskatchewan Rivers School Division and the Prince Albert Catholic School Division.
