Enforcement measures on provincial fine collection have been temporarily suspended for 6 months.
That includes late payment fees, files sent to SGI related to driver’s license suspensions, files sent to the Canada Revenue Agency for set off and files sent to collection agencies.
The province says you still need to pay, but provincial court offices aren’t accepting fine payments in person, in order to protect the health and safety of court users and staff during the COVID-19 emergency.
The payments can still be made online through a toll free number or by mail at the address on the back of your ticket.
