SSR Mining is suspending operations at its Seabee Gold Operation in northern Saskatchewan. The reason, is the COVID-19 virus although the company says there are no confirmed cases among the workforce at Seabee. The mine will now go into temporary care and maintenance mode until April 30th. SSR says it will assess public health and government circumstances to determine whether to restart the mine or extend the care and maintenance period. Seabee is a remote, fly-in fly-out operation.
