Muskeg Lake Cree Nation has enacted a state of emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

During this time essential services will continue to operate while non-essential operations will cease.

Muskeg Lake Cree Nation government states they will close roads into the community except for emergency or essential travel. Checkpoints at various entrances have already been set up.

The state of emergency will continue until public health officials advise the threat from the coronavirus has passed.
