Premier Scott Moe has announced that the provincial state of emergency declared two weeks ago will continue for at least another two weeks.
He said the measures put in place so far are working and people need to keep it up to lower the number of cases, the number of hospitalizations, and the number of deaths.
Moe said that while there are positive signs that the measures are working, there is still a long way to go.
Chief Medical Health Officer, Dr. Saqib Shahab stresses that these measures are only starting to work because people are following the rules, and that they need to continue. He says we need to redouble our efforts to protect ourselves and to keep the curve as flat as possible.
