Late Tuesday afternoon, Fillmore RCMP received a 911 call with no one speaking on the other end. They tracked the call to a rural residence, where they found an 18 year old man wondering around the farmyard. They also found the body of a 69 year-old man. The teen was the victim’s grandson and had been living at the residence with the deceased. He was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder and Indignity to Human Remains. The investigation is still underway. The suspect appears by phone in provincial court Thursday in Estevan. Fillmore is about 106 km southeast of Regina.
