Saskatchewan RCMP say between March 20th and March 30th, they had 436 COVID-19 related calls.
And since the new Saskatchewan Public Health Order was issued on March 26th they have received 57 complaints of social gatherings of over 10 people which resulted in seven warnings issued and one charge laid. There were 110 complaints of people failing to self-isolate which resulted in 27 warnings issued. As well, 13 complaints were received about businesses not complying with the Public Health Order, resulting in three warnings being issued.
The RCMP says the vast majority of calls for service were resolved by educating the public about the potential health and enforcement consequences that can result with not complying with the Public Health Order. They also stress that they need the public to not put others at risk by staying home and avoiding situations where there is potential to spread the virus.
