Tory leader Andrew Scheer was on the hot seat during a news conference in Ottawa outlining what his party wants to see from the government economically to deal with the pandemic.
The Regina-Qu’Appelle M.P was grilled about flying his family to Ottawa along with other M.P’s on a government jet with 9 seats, filling them all, and not adhering to social distancing protocols.
Scheer says they were in Regina for March break when the travel restrictions came about. He says when parliament was recalled, and with future sittings coming up, they had to make a choice and that choice was the government flight, or a number of flights through different airports.
