A Coquitlam, BC woman is facing criminal charges after she allegedly coughed at a grocery clerk who would not let her buy extra tissues.

The caller made the report Monday at 1:45 p.m. from a grocery store in Coquitlam saying an irate customer had deliberately coughed onto a grocery store clerk and was apparently angry they couldn’t purchase more than the store’s maximum amount of tissues.

Coquitlam RCMP say this a time to keep perspective, take a breath and treat essential workers, like grocery store clerks, with the respect they deserve.

After interviewing witnesses and reviewing security video a 25 year old woman was arrested at her home.
