Saskatoon Police and the Saskatoon Fire Department worked together Friday afternoon to recover a firearm that had been discarded on the roof of a structure.

At about 12:31 p.m., Saskatoon Police asked for assistance from the Saskatoon Fire Department to a building on the 400 block of Queen Street. Firefighters used hook ladders from off an aerial truck to recover the firearm from the rook and transfer it to possession of Saskatoon Police for evidence purposes.
