Cumberland Avenue is closed around Aird Street from Colony to Temperance Streets due to a water main leak that has caused a sink hole.
The repairs will begin on Tuesday and the City says the work should take 2 days to complete, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use Clarence or Preston Avenues to access College Drive and 8th Street.
