A Saskatoon man has been sentenced to 2 years in jail for aggravated assault.
25 year-old Wyatt Scott was arrested on February 28th, after police responded to a stabbing at the 3300 block of 8th Street East. A 44 year old victim reported being involved in a verbal exchange with two men before one of them stabbed him with a knife. He was transported to hospital where he received treatment for a non life-threatening injury. Scott was tracked by a K-9 team, found to be in possession of a knife and arrested.
Scott was sentenced to 730 days in jail minus time served, and was also sentenced to 90 days, concurrent to the assault charge, for escape from lawful custody and failing to comply with conditions for not possessing firearms.
