Evade Police
A 29 year old Biggar man is facing a laundry list of charges after a half ton was seen speeding down 8th Street Tuesday night. In fact Saskatoon Police say it was clocked doing 133 kilometres an hour in a 50 km/hr zone.
Officers unsuccessfully tried to pull the half ton over at 8th Street and Louise. With the help of the Air Support Unit a spike belt was used at 20th Street and Idylwyld Drive and a second tire deflation device was used at Avenue C and 22nd street.
Driving with no tires, the vehicle finally came to a stop at Avenue P and a 29 year old man, whom police believe was under the influence of drugs, was charged with Dangerous driving, Impaired Driving, Evade Police and Breach of Conditions.
Stabbing
Saskatoon Police are investigating who stabbed a 19 year old man early Wednesday morning.
Police were called to St. Paul’s Hospital after the victim showed up around 3:30 a.m. seeking treatment. His injuries are considered serious but not life threatening.
The incident reportedly occurred in the 13 hundred block of 22nd Street West but investigators are still trying to determine the location of the incident.

Cocaine Seizure
Saskatoon Police say they conducted a traffic stop at 22nd Street West and Avenue O South shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday and discovered the passenger was wanted on a previous charge of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Police say they searched the man and allegedly confiscated two cell phones, $580 cash and three baggies of cocaine.
A 24 year old man from Saskatoon is now facing additional charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Possession of the Proceeds of Crime.
