The Global Institute for Food Security and the University of Saskatchewan is providing research equipment to support the Saskatchewan health Authority’s diagnostic testing for COVID-19. The Institute has something called a KingFisher Flex Instrument that can run additional diagnostic tests. The instrument will be transferred from the Institute’s lab to Royal University Hospital. The institute is also donating testing supplies, and other equipment. The organization is also assisting the College of Engineering in its efforts to design 3D-prited N95 masks for use by health workers.
