Holy Cross grad Evan Ostertag has re-signed with the C-E-B-L-champion Saskatchewan Rattlers.
A 6’1″ guard, who also played five seasons for the U of S Huskies, the Saskatoon product spent the 2019 Canadian Elite Basketball League season on the Rattlers’ practice squad. Ostertag provides depth to Saskatchewan’s back-court. Following is the news release from the Rattlers…..
Saskatchewan Rattlers Announce Signing of Evan Ostertag University of Saskatchewan Alumni returns to the Rattlers
Saskatoon, Sask. (Apr. 23, 2020) – The Saskatchewan Rattlers, member club of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), are excited to announce the signing of Canadian guard Evan Ostertag.
Ostertag spent the 2019 CEBL season as part of the Rattlers practice squad. The 6-foot-1 guard spent five years with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies where he graduated from in 2016. In his fifth and final year with the Huskies, Ostertag averaged 15.9 points, 2.3 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 31.3 minutes per game. A native of Saskatoon, SK- Ostertag attended high school at Holy Cross.
“We are excited to have Evan back with us for 2020”, said Rattlers GM Barry Rawlyk. “Obviously I’ve gotten to know Evan very well from his time at the University of Saskatchewan and last season with the Rattlers. Evan is an exceptional teammate and team player who elevates the game of everyone around him. He is a positive influence in the locker room and on the court and we are happy to have him back.”
