42 year old Aaron Gardiner of Ile-a-la-Crosse is facing a laundry list of charges after RCMP rescued a young girl and seized guns and drugs from a cabin in the region.
RCMP they learned Thursday evening a young girl was being held against her will for four days in a cabin across Ile-a La Crosse Lake, about 10 kilometres from the village of Ile-a-la-Crosse.
The Canadian Forces was called in and Friday brought two helicopters to transport an Emergency Response Team Across the lake landing next to the cabin. The girl was rescued having suffered minor bruising and was safely transported back by helicopter.
Gardiner is charged with Unlawful Confinement, Assault, Overcoming Resistance, Utter Threats, Resist Arrest, Possess a Firearm for a Dangerous Purpose, Use of a Firearm in Commission of an Indictable Offence, Proceeds of Crime, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
