The Regional Centre of Expertise – Saskatchewan will be handing out Sustainability Awards on May 13, at First Nations University of Canada in Regina, and the City of Saskatoon will be there as one of the recipients. The city is being recognizes with an Education for Sustainable Development Award for its Triple Bottom Line initiative. Jeanna South, Director of Sustainability says, “This TBL initiative integrates environmental health and integrity, social equity and cultural well-being, economic prosperity and fiscal responsibility, and good government into City decision-making.”
The Regional Centre of Expertise program is a global initiative of the United National University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability.
