The Saskatoon Fire Department was called out to grass fire on Saturday, this time in the area of Highway 14 West, just outside of Saskatoon.
The Fire Department responded at approximately 2:50 p.m. to calls of a wind driven grass fire. Changing winds challenged the efforts of fire crews, however firefighters were successful in protecting several structures in the area from catching fire. The blaze was considered under control a couple of hours later at 4:49 p.m.
The fire department monitored the area for any hot spots throughout the evening and report no injuries to civilian or personnel as a result of the fire.
