Deschambault Lake RCMP have made a bust for bootlegging.

Last Wednesday they received information that a suspected local bootlegger was back in the community after having left just a few hours earlier. A traffic stop netted police several bottles of alcohol hidden in the vehicle.

And a few hours after that RCMP were notified that a different individual was believed to be bringing alcohol into the community. Another traffic stop and more hard liquor as well as beer.

Two people have been charged for bootlegging while one of them was also charged for driving an unregistered vehicle.
