With the combination of freeze-thaw-snow, the weather may have kept workers off city streets but they are out now repairing potholes in Saskatoon.
Mayor Charlie Clark says they may see more work completed along with enjoying savings because the price of asphalt, due to the pandemic, has dropped.
On a different city note – if you were wondering when weekly garbage pick up gets underway, it is on May 18th.
The City of Saskatoon announced April 15th it was going to stick with bi-weekly garbage pick up citing COVID-19 as the reason. The next day, city administration retracted that decision after a special meeting of council.
The Seasonal Green Cart program kicked off on Monday which was the same day the Compost Depots opened.
