The Canadian Taxpayers Federation wants Members of Parliament to cut their salaries. The CTF says that, according to a survey of the Angus Reid Forum, two-thirds of Canadians agree. Federation Director Aaron Wudrick says, “Millions of Canadians have lost their jobs or taken pay cuts. Our federal Members of Parliament need to show leadership by cutting their salaries.” Wudrick say the Prime Minister of New Zealand and her cabinet have taken a 20 per cent pay cut, MPs in Japan have taken a 20 per cent cut and in India they have taken a 30 per cent reduction.
