The 20 million dollar fundraising campaign to build a Hospice in Saskatoon has wrapped up with what the St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation describes as a 1 million dollar capstone gift from the Yuel family.
The gift from Jim and Lisa Yuel and their daughters was announced Tuesday. The campaign launched in January 2019 and raised in total $20,954,000 dollars for end of life care in Saskatchewan.
Jean Morrison President and CEO of St. Paul’s Hospital says all four priorities of the Close to Home Campaign will now be realized: a newly renovated Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul’s Hospital; a Palliative Care Education Fund; endowments that will support the ongoing delivery of holistic care; and the Hospice at Glengarda.
