A 61 year old man has been transported to hospital after an accident on Nemeiban Lake on Monday.
La Ronge RCMP received a report that a man had possibly fallen through the ice.
A 61 year old man and another male were on an air boat heading to a cabin, but the boat broke down.
Police were told they then tried to tow it but the snowmobile broke through the ice and the 2 individuals freed themselves and started walking in different directions.
The witness says one moment the 61 year old was walking towards shore and the next moment he was gone.
Police had had help from the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association and the Saskatchewan Environment Ministry.
About 2 hours after the accident, the 61 year old was was retrieved from the ice several kilometres away.
