A deck fire on the 400 block of Avenue S South sent Saskatoon Fire Department crews into action around 7:30 this morning (fri). They were there in under four minutes and found a fire on a small section of the rear deck of the boarded-up house. It took about three minutes from the time they arrived to bring the fire under control. Firefighters searched the house and found no one inside and no extension of the fire. The fire is suspicious and an investigator is looking for the cause and a damage estimate.
