All but one of the new cases of COVID-19 reported this week in Saskatchewan are from the far north. On Thursday, there was also a case reported in Regina at Pasqua Hospital. The provincial government says there are 8 new confirmed cases with 5 in La Loche and 3 in Beauval for a total of 590.

Saskatchewan’s per capita rate of testing at 30-thousand-366 tests per million people is slightly below the national rate of 31-thousand-915..
The province says that is because of decreased demand, not a drop in testing capacity.
