The Victoria Day Long Weekend will be a little different than what we are used to because of safety protocols to reduce the transmission of COVID-19.
Travel restrictions in the north remain, so there is no access for cabin owners but if you have a cabin or long term seasonal campsite in the south, you can still access it.
Saskatchewan’s Chief Medical Health Officer says all safety guidelines need to be followed, and for those who don’t own their own property, the provincial parks are open for limited use, but not for overnight camping until June 1st.
If you are heading out to your cabin, Shahab urges to stay on your own property and keep your destinations to a minimum, only shopping for essential items.
No matter where you will be for the long weekend, the forecast looks promising, so Shahab says getting outside is a great idea, but we still need to practice the guidelines of physical distancing and no gatherings of over 10 people.
He urges everyone to plan activities to include only those in your household or your virtual household.
