With city Golf Courses re-opening is Saskatoon Friday golfers will be able to hit the links this weekend under new pandemic guidelines.
Lynne Lacroix, General Manager of Community Services with the City of Saskatoon, says golf courses will be following the regulations set out by the provincial government and Saskatchewan Health Authority.
Tee Times were originally set to be 20 minutes apart but the province will now allow tee times to be 12 minutes apart to avoid congestion on the course. Lacroix says other safety precautions are being implemented. There will be no ball washing machines, people won’t be allowed to touch flag sticks, no rakes will be in bunkers, things that people would normally touch will not be allowed in the courses.
Lacroix says golfers are anxious to get back to the courses, tee sheets were opened last week and booked up within 90 minutes.
