Saskatoon Police and RCMP members combined their efforts to arrest a man after he reportedly refused to stop for Police on Saturday.
At approximately 4:20 p.m., Saskatoon Police received a report of a suspicious person in the area of Molland Lane. Patrol officers say they saw a grey Mercedes Benz C240 travelling eastbound on 22nd Street. Police attempted to stop the car but the driver did a U-turn in the ditch and fled the city westbound on 22nd Street. The Air Support Unit spotted the vehicle and guided ground units to its location where the driver was arrested by RCMP members. A loaded zip-gun and various documents were located inside of the vehicle.
The 31 year old Saskatoon man is facing eight firearms-related offences. He is also charged with Dangerous Driving, Evade Police, Possession of a Forged Document and Breach of Conditions.
