Parking enforcement will be back in full effect today (Monday) after a special meeting of City Council last week.
The reinstatement will include public pay parking, parking time limits, the residential parking program and other parking enforcement measures. In a press release the city says while Saskatoon will continue efforts to flatten the curve of COVID-19, there is also a need to boost the economy and support community businesses. The return to public pay parking the city says will help ensure parking space turnover in high-demand parking zones in front of businesses.
The city is encouraging residents to use the WayToPark app for a no-touch way to pay for parking.
Expired permits will continue to be honoured for things like the Residential Parking Program and for People with a Disability.
