According to the latest Angus Reid survey, the two Premiers with the highest levels of approval this quarter are facing significantly different situations when it comes to COVID-19.
In New Brunswick, Blaine Higgs is the premier of a province with just one current active case and just 121 cases in total.
Meanwhile, the epicentre of the COVID-19 outbreak in Canada has been Quebec and still Francois Legault comes in second for highest approval for a premier.

Also in the top five of the Angus Reid Survey, seven-in-ten residents approve of British Columbia s John Horgan at 71% and Ontario s Doug Ford at 69%. Ford, until now, has never held majority approval since his election.
The two premier’s at the bottom of the list also face vastly different situations in their respective province’s. Neither Alberta’s United Conservative Party Leader, Premier Jason Kenney, nor the Manitoba Conservative Party leader, Premier Brian Pallister, gave even 50% approval of their population.
Alberta is home to what is considered the largest single-facility outbreak of COVID-19 in North America with more than 15-hundred cases linked to the Cargill meat packing plant. His approval is at 48%.
Brian Pallister has among the fewest COVID-19 caes in Canada. He got a slight bump in approval, up four points from last quarter, and sits at the bottom of the pack at 47%.
